About

Peter Konefal

Peter has taken the circuitous route into accounting after completing a successful career in personal banking, small business lending and wealth management with RBC. After brief stints with Scotiabank and HSBC, he realized after 10 years in the banking industry that it was time for a change. After forsaking large companies entirely and jumping into the deep end with micro sized startups in the apparel space and stints in freelancing consulting, Peter briefly worked for a next-generation cloud accounting firm in Vancouver.

After being let go in the COVID-19 employment meltdown of 2020, Peter resolved to partner with fellow HSBC alum, Ludwig Coleman, to do something new and different in the accounting / finance space. They hashed out the idea for Tuulyp Consulting in Summer 2020 after talking with many business owners and hearing consistent complaints that it was difficult to find comprehensive advice on one place.

Tuulyp Consulting was founded as a company that would blend together bookkeeping and wealth, with satellite capabilities in business planning and financial modelling, technology/app advisory, and virtual CFO services. Focussing on just five to eight industry verticals, and with a keen eye on environmental sustainability, Peter is excited to help small and medium sized companies realize their growth plans while meeting long term personal financial objectives.

In his spare time, Peter enjoys songwriting, going on motorcycling trips and learning German.
