About

Peter Konefal

Peter co-founded Tuulyp Consulting to bring about an integrated approach to financial advisory, bookkeeping, virtual CFO support and wealth management: bridging critical gaps that commonly exist in business and personal advisory.

Peter began his finance career at RBC and was rapidly promoted from personal banking into small business banking. After finding success helping business owners obtain the credit products they needed to grow, he then transitioned into wealth management and financial advisory. After a seven year career at RBC, he left the bank and worked in investment advisory for HSBC and Scotiabank briefly before striking out on his own as an entrepreneur. After spending five years spent as an e-commerce entrepreneur, freelance consultant and cloud accountant, Peter has gained valuable firsthand experience of the challenges (and opportunities) that confront today’s small business owners.

Peter holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University and is an accredited Financial Planner, having obtained the PFP® designation. Peter is also a CFA ® charterholder, having completed the globally recognized program with a focus on investment management and research analysis. Rounding out his planning toolset, Peter has also completed the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) licensing program offered by the Insurance Council of BC (ICBC).

When he's not helping a business or personal client, he can be found exploring new roads on his motorcycle, playing some kind of musical instrument, or learning a new language.
